Liverpool played Brighton on the last day of season and they needed just one point to secure Champions League football next season. With a strong starting lineup including just 2 midfielder’s they thumped Brighton 4-0.

Mohammed Salah had opened the scoring after a fierce 20 minutes of pressure from Liverpool, this goal meant he broke the record for the most goals scored in a single campaign. He also claimed the golden boot after scoring 32 goals.

The half was coming to a close and Liverpool we’re leading 1-0 until Andy Robertson put in a fabulous cross and Dejan Lovren climbed highest and scored a brilliant header to make it 2-0.

The second half started and straight away Liverpool went on the attack, this time Mo Salah assisting Dominic Solanke for his first ever Premier League goal. Adam Lallana made his comeback from injury as did danny ings as the game came to a close, Ings also set up Andy Robertson for his first goal for Liverpool this season.

In other news, Mo Salah has claimed another 2 awards by being chosen as the Premier League player of the season and being chosen to win the Samba Boot by the fans, Newcastle have beaten Chelsea 3-0 and Rafa’s men have secured their spot in the Premier League next season.

Liverpool now have a 2 week break until the massive clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League Final on May 26, they are also set to have a 3 day break in Spain for relaxation and fitness camp.
