Liverpool took on Burnley at home with a 3pm kickoff on Saturday and after a 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in their previous Premeir League fixture, Liverpool were wanting to get back on track with a win. This proved to be too difficult as the Reds slumped to a dull 1-1 draw.

Simon Mignolet: 7
His distribution of the ball was excellent and he made crucial saves throughout the game. Still could have done better with positioning in certain areas and for the goal from Arfield.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 8
For a youngster, he played like a professional today and had a huge impact behind Salah on the wing. Still needs to work on his defensive skills though.
Joel Matip: 9
He was excellent. Once again showed that he’s our best defender and could both attack and defend properly. Shame he always has to clean up Lovren or Klavan’s mistakes.
Ragnar Klavan: 4
Klavan was just too slow and sloppy today and was mostly at fault for the goal Burnley scored in the 27th minute. Many fans want him gone and if he keeps playing like that they may have their wish soon enough.
Andrew Robertson: 8
Many fans had been screaming out for him to start and Klopp listened. It certainly paid off as he did really well both attacking and trekking back down the left flank. He needs to start more.
Emre Can: 8
Can looked very focused and determined today whilst creating many chances but not being able to pull them off. He forced a couple of saves from the Burnley keeper but nothing game changing. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.
James Milner: 7
He didn’t really do that much in the game but what came his way he dealt with fairly well. Seemed to link up his passes really well too.
Philippe Coutinho: 7
Coutinho really looked into the game today and had a few moments of brilliance in the field of play. Unfortunately he didn’t have his shooting boots on as several of his shots went straight to Row Z. Expected better from him today.
Mohamed Salah: 9
Amazing. That’s the word that sums up this man. He’s once again scored a goal for us and was extremely instrumental in our attack and down the wing. He comfortably covered the absence of Mané and is proving to be a bargain for us.
Roberto Firmino: 8
There’s no doubt about this man’s love for the club as he played his heart out. Had a few chances but should’ve been more influential.
Daniel Sturridge: 8
Sturridge looked really sharp out there today and was the target man throughout the match. It’s a shame that he didn’t score the chances he had though.

Substitutes
Alex Oxelade-Chamberlain: 6
Didn’t have much to do today but looked quick on the ball. Needs to start.
Dominic Solanke: 6
Dom had the one chance to make it 2-1 near the end of the game with his shot which blasted off the bar at a pretty much open net. He switched to the target man as soon as he came on but wasn’t as effective.
