Liverpool’s penultimate game at home, and it ends 0-0. A sunny Anfield, hosted Liverpool and Southampton. Going into the game, Liverpool were relieved as Phillipe Coutinho did start against the saints, but were not happy too, as Adam Lallana sat out during most of the game. Lallana and Sturridge both came on, and almost did score. But all that we take in the game is: a point, James Milner’s penalty miss, and a sloppy referee, who didn’t know how to control a game.

Simon Mignolet 7

Did well in corners, and rarely had anything to stop. But he almost made a mistake which could’ve led to a saints goal.

Nathaniel Clyne 5

Bwoaaah… What a bad performance

Joel Matip 7

Decent performance… Nothing else to ask for.

Dejan Lovren 6

Rarely did anything in the game, except for that silly handball

James Milner 6

Milner’s first penalty miss for Liverpool… Other than that he was average

Lucas Leiva 7

I’ve got to give credit for Lucas. He’s been brilliant in these last couple of games, and he was the player who helped us get a penalty.

Emre Can 6

Average… Not much to say.

Georgino Wijnaldum 4

Pathetic…. I was sick of him, he was invisible during the whole first half and did not create anything.

Roberto Firmino 6.5

We can’t rely on Firmino or Coutinho. Yes, they are great players, but we just rely on them too much. Firmino was great in the first half, but didn’t do much in the second half.

Divock Origi 2

I would love myself to swear at Origi. He’s had many bad performances, and he’s actually played bad in the last 5 games. Klopp’s got to bring on Sturridge

Phillipe Coutinho 6.5

Can’t ask much from Coutinho, he did what he had to do.

Substitutes

Adam Lallana 6.5

Changed the pace of the game. I still don’t understand why Klopp did not let Lallana start this game. He played 80+ minutes against Watford and did deserve to play more.

Daniel Sturridge 6.5

Had a great chance to score, and needs more game time.

Marko Grujic 5

Had a run… And almost scored
