A brilliant way to start off April, and a great feeling to get the double over arch rivals Everton. Goals From: Sadio Mané, Phillipe Coutinho, and substitute Divock Origi gave Liverpool all 3 points and gave Liverpool fans a sigh of relief.
Simon Mignolet 8:
Didn’t get many shots at him, but did well to save the deflected shots. Should’ve done better in the corner, but getting the 3 points in the bag is what we need.
Nathaniel Clyne 7:
Defended well, but attacking wise he was not the best. Could’ve done better, but he will certainly come back stronger.
Dejan Lovren 9:
How good was he? Did he deserve the MOTM trophy? It was great that he came back into the team, and played really well.
Joel Matip 9:
Just like Lovren he was brilliant. The partnership between the 2 was always great, and it was awsome to have them both back on the pitch.
James Milner 8:
The whole defence was great, Milly played really well, did well when blocking shots. Do we need a CB? We’ve got Milly…
Lucas Leiva 8
To be honest, I didn’t want him to play pre match, but controlled the defence and the midfield really well.
Emre Can 8
WOW! What a performance, did really well, and expected him to be sloppy. But was he? Not at all.
Georginio Wijnaldum 7:
Didn’t get the ball many times, he was ghostlike at times. This certainly shows that Lallana needs to come back soon.
Sadio Mané 8:
I feel so sorry for him. A blistering performance, but had to go off early. Hope he comes back onto the pitch quickly.
Roberto Firmino 8:
Firmino doesn’t have to score, he was just too much for Everton, and they just couldn’t control him properly.
Phillipe Coutinho 9 MOTM:
A MOTM performance? What a change he’s had, played really well today and Everton just couldn’t stop him.
Substitutes:
Divock Origi
Trent Alexander Arnold
Ragnar Klavan
