There is a lot of debate going on around the world of football, in regards to who will finish in the top 4 places this season. There’s many reasons for why each of the top 6 clubs could get into the top 4 this season, however I am going to tell you why we should all be confident about being in the top 4 come May.

As you will all know by now, Liverpool have already played all of the other clubs in the top 6 twice this season, so with nine games left of the season for us we should beat the rest of our opponents this season.

Arguably the hardest game that we have left this season is against Everton, and that game is the first game for us after the international break and with them seeming having a decent run of form we need to be trying our best to put an end to their run. Liverpool haven’t lost to Everton in a while, with the last defeat against the blues coming on the 17th October 2010, and since that game the reds haven’t lost any of their last 13 games against the blues (W6 D7). This game is a 12:30pm kickoff on Saturday 1st April 2017.

The next game after that for the reds is against AFC Bournemouth, and it is an 8pm kickoff on Wednesday April 5th 2017. The reds will more than likely be keen to avenge their defeat to the cherries back in December, after they collapsed from having a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3, after an injury time winner from Nathan Ake. This game is also at Anfield. Liverpool’s third game, and first away game after the international break, is against Stoke City. This game is a 3pm kickoff on Saturday April 8th. Stoke is a hard place for teams to visit, and the reds will have to be at their very best if they are to get a result at the Bet 365 stadium. Liverpool’s fourth game back, is against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. This will be a tough test for the reds, and after seeing Arsenal lose there the other day the reds will need to be at their best if they are to win this game. This game is a 1:30pm kickoff on Sunday April 16th. The next game for Liverpool, sees a return to Anfield, as they host Crystal Palace. Palace had been a ‘bogey team’ for the reds, but now they seem to have overcome that, after winning their last two games against Palace. The game is a 4:30pm kickoff, on the 23rd April 2017. Liverpool’s penultimate away game of the season sees them travel to London, to play Watford. Last season Liverpool lost the fixture 3-0, and they will have to perform well if they want to 3 points this time around. This game is an 8pm kickoff, on Monday May 1st. Then we move onto Liverpool’s penultimate home game of the season, where they take on Southampton. The last meeting between the two sides was in the EFL cup semi final where Southampton won 1-0 at Anfield (2-0 on aggregate) to knock Liverpool out of the competition, so they will have confidence when they head to Anfield. This game takes place on Saturday 6th May and it is scheduled to be a 3pm kickoff. Liverpool’s penultimate game of the season, and final away game of the 2016/17 season, sees them travel to London to face West Ham United. The Hammers managewd to take a point away from Anfield in the reverse fixture this season, and the reds will be keen to end the season well. The game takes place on Saturday May 13th and it is a 3pm kickoff. The final game of the season, sees Liverpool host Middlesborough, in what could be a crucial match for both sides for different reasons. The reds could be fighting to get into the top 4, meanwhile Middlesborough may be fighting to avoid getting relegated. In the reverse fixture, Liverpool won the game 3-0, in what proved to be an easy game than what was expected for the reds. This game will kickoff at 3pm on Sunday May 21st.
