A devastating night for the Reds. A cold day at Leicester should be forgotten. The Reds were on course to get the double on Lecister after beating them 4-1 at Anfield, but a poor night was all for the Reds. Goals from Jamie Vardy and a thunderbolt from Danny Drinkwater was all for Leicester but a brilliant run from Emre Can setted up Coutinho for his first goal after coming back from Injury.

Simon Mignolet:

I still don’t understand why Klopp does not play Karius… A poor match for Mignolet but a few world class saves from him kept the score much lower. Karius should come into the team against Arsenal after being out for so long he needs a game where he can gain confidence in front of the Kop.

Nathaniel Clyne 7:

Perhaps the only energetic player on the field. Did his job, and also gave Liverpool that strong attacking force.

Joel Matip 7:

Did well with intercepting and clearing. The Matip-Lovren partnership was good and Lovren needs to come back soon. Anyways, it was a fairly average performance for Matip.

Lucas Leiva 5:

Absolutely shocking. He had a great game against Tottenham and all of a sudden became unplayable. He did not mark Jamie Vardy during the first goal and does get the blame alongside Wijnaldum.  Lucas is not a CB. He can’t header. Why did Klopp sell Sakho? When we don’t have many world class centre backs why does he sell? If he does play against Arsenal he should have a better performance.

James Milner 6:

Milner’s performances are like a pattern. He does well and becomes sloppy. The way we were playing this match was that we had Wing Backs. Why didn’t Klopp bring on Moreno earlier?

Emre Can 8:

The best Liverpool player on the pitch. Didn’t expect him to do that good. But did his job well and made a brilliant run to tee up Coutinho.

Georginio Wijnaldum 5:

I can only use one word for almost every Liverpool player… Sloppy. Didn’t show his ability and was to blame for the first goal.

Adam Lallana 5:

A bad performance. He was really… Sloppy in the first half. Although he still had an average performance in the second half.

Sadio Mané 6:

Shocking… Didn’t use his pace to capitalise Leicester’s defence.

Roberto Firmino 6:

Bad performance. Should’ve played better and should’ve pressed more.

Phillipe Coutinho 6:

Just scraped a 6. A goal just gave him a 6. He just isn’t as good as he used to be. But he needs time.
