Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his squad is too bloated and must offload players.

Mario Balotelli, Luis Alberto and Adam Bogdan beware: Jurgen Klopp is looking to move you on. He’s basically saying someone come and take Balotelli! he’s fit!!!

The German confirmed to the press after Liverpool’s 1-0 win to kick off their preseason campaign against Tranmere Rovers that Liverpool need to lose some dead weight.

“We have 38 players at the moment,” Klopp said“And that is 100% too much! We have to take some decisions. We have to take some decisions, but you can be sure that if a team takes a player from us, they will have had two or three weeks of really hard and intensive training in their legs, and are as fit as they possibly can be.

Liverpool have a lot of dead wood around the fringes of the first team. There are a lot of players who are on the chopping block though aren’t dead certain to leave. They’re not deadwood like Balotelli but they’re not exactly setting the world on fire. Names like Lucas Leiva, Joe Allen, Simon Mignolet, Christian Benteke and others comes to mind. Another on the outer seems to be Martin Skrtel, rumours have it that he is set to sign with Fenerbahce in the coming days.

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is also set to leave after a shock £15m bid from Bournemouth, which has been accepted by LIverpool and have now gave him permission to speak to the cherries about a possible move, with Ibe fallen out of favour at Anfield it seems like a good move for him.

Jordon Ibe looks set to leave Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool have 33% less games this season than last and they’ve already brought in a few faces. Sadio Mane, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic and Loris Karius have all arrived and others are yet to leave.

Klopp was honest to the press and there is soon to be a mass exodus.

It will be a busy summer for Liverpool, as players are continually linked with the club as well as all of these impending exits.
