After disappointing in Europe this week with elimination in the Champions League to PSG, will the Gunners bounce back for their first win at Anfield since 2012. It’s highly unlikely, in the Premier League Arsenal have only won 1 in their last 5 games all against sides outside the top 6.

Arteta will come under scrutiny in the summer, with a net spend of 460.22m over the last 5 seasons and no major honours. He has one win as a manager at Anfield coming on penalties on the Carabao Cup after a goalless draw in 2020.

Last time out at the Emirates the sides drew 2-2. Arsenal lead twice in the tie. Mohamed Salah equalised for the reds in the final 10 minutes. Liverpool have failed to beat Arsenal on their last two visits to Anfield ending in 1-1 and 2-2 draws. However Arne Slot does have a victory over Arteta for the reds, Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-1 in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field in pre-season.

Arsenal are currently dealing with several long-term injuries, with key players Kai HavertzGabriel JesusTakehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel Magalhães all unavailable. Havertz and Gabriel are sidelined due to hamstring surgeries, while Jesus is recovering from an ACL tear and Tomiyasu is out indefinitely following a second knee operation.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold set to leave, Slot has confirmed Conor Bradley will start at right-back to prepare for next season. Joe Gomez remains sidelined with a long-term hamstring injury and is unlikely to feature, while Tyler Morton is also out with a shoulder issue.
