Liverpool have only met Lille OSC once before. It was in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 in 2010. Lille OSC won the first leg 1-0 with a goal from Eden Hazard, however the reds turned the tie around in the second leg at Anfield winning 3-0 with goals from Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

Team News

Bruno Génésio injury list is extensive, Tiago Santos, Edon Zhegrova, Samuel Umtiti, Nabil Bentaleb, and Matias Fernandez-Pard are all likely to be missing. Former Toffee Andre Gomes moved to Lille OSC after the UEFA Champions League registration period therefore is ineligiable to play in this one.
