Trent Alexander-Arnold started for England on their visit to Finland at left back, yes left back! Once again showing his versatility. England went onto win the game 1-3. Trent’s set-piece expertise once again on show for all to see for the second goal. Whipping the ball into the top right corner leaving Hradecky in the Finland goal with no chance.

Trent has now been named MOTM in all 3 of Lee Carsley’s England victories. Form he will look to continue heading into Chelsea on Sunday.

Caoimhin Kelleher was not so fortunate with Ireland who were beaten by Greece 2-0. The Irish have now lost their last 4 meetings with the Greeks. Unfortunately, Kelleher made an error when playing out from the back, way out of his goal Kelleher misplaced a pass for Mantalos to score and double Greece’s lead in additional time. Aside from the late error, Kelleher was heavily involved making 5 saves and preventing 1.02 goals according to FOTMOB. His strong performance didn’t go unrecognised as he received MOTM from his national side. These minutes can only be seen as a strong foundation to build on, with Kelleher expected to be the starter in an upcoming hectic schedule for the reds with Alisson side-lined with a hamstring injury.

Kostas Tsimikas was also involved for the final 8 minutes to help sure up the win after missing the opening game to England.

Plenty of reds in action tonight Ibou Konates France take on Belgium. Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch expected to be involved against Germany. Dominik Szoboszlai travels to Bosnia with Hungary.
