– Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Xabi Alonso remains the main candidate for the vacant Liverpool job in the Summer. The Spaniard guided Leverkusen to a 3-0 victory over German giants Bayern Munich at the weekend, and has attracted interest from across Europe.
-Chelsea have confirmed that Benoit Badiashile will be unavailable for the Carabao Cup final clash with Liverpool. He will join Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella and Romeo Lavia on the sideline for the clash on the 25th February.
– Despite rumours online, Tottenham Hotspur are confident that manager Ange Postecoglou will not leave the club to take over at Liverpool, despite the Australian revealing that he is a fan of the Reds. With over 3 years left on his contract, Spurs are not concerned about the situation.
– According to The Athletic, Kylian Mbappe, who looked set to be joining Real Madrid, has been left unconvinced by the Spanish club’s offer. Mbappe has been on Liverpool’s radar for the past few seasons, and it will be an interesting saga to keep tabs on.
